For the first time in the history of universal Culture, an art form is articulating and announcing its theoretical and practical program before its concrete realization.

Why invent a new Corrida for the 21st century?
The press conference will answer this essential question and conversation session with the three founders, allowing journalists and the public to engage with them. The Corrida Etica is a new art form that offers an unprecedented approach to bullfighting, imbuing it with a new ethical dimension and a wholly artistic purpose. The Corrida Etica, conceived by Jose Manrubia, bullfighter and invisible artist, and Eric Monsinjon, art historian and philosopher, revolutionizes the tradition by committing not to injure or kill the bull, whether in the arena or after the spectacle. This project is supported by the Biennale de Paris and the ENDA (National Art School of Paris), under the direction of invisual artist Alexandre Gurita.
A Manifesto as a Program
During this launch event, Jose Manrubia, Eric Monsinjon, and Alexandre Gurita will unveil the Corrida Etica Manifesto, published by Paris Biennale Publishing (May 2024). Excerpts from this manifesto will be read during the press conference. A special limited first edition of 100 copies has been printed for this occasion. Each attending journalist will receive a copy.
